APCG 498 Work Progress Week 14 December 12/05/13

So far I had to re-UV my model again because my previous UV map had some UVs that were combined together in a way that it made texturing certain parts of the model difficult to tell apart. After the fix, I finally drew in the reddish orange and purple feather patterns onto my UVs and made my textures. My model looks fine at the moment after I applied my texture maps and I've managed to close most of the seam lines of my model. I did make a norm map for my model but it turned out wrong and disfigured and so I left it out and continue to redo it later. I am still making the alpha card feathers for my model and will apply to my model later. I also totally forgot all about my phoenix's eyes and texture but will get to working on it soon.

So far this semester, I've learned a lot of new things and have refined my skills. In the past I couldn't UV or do texture maps for my models. Now I can UV my models without  using the Headus UV Layout program and texture my texture maps more correctly and accurately than before. In addition, I've also learned how to model a bit faster now and fix my mistakes. Speaking of mistakes, I've also learned a lot about them through my tiger model and have since made some changes to how I model by not making too many edges and edge loops until I've finished assembling my entire model together.

Once I'm done with my models, I'll post another page for my presentation along with some images and turntables.
